Star Wars: Uncut

If I was more of a Star Wars nut, I might actually participate in this. Even though I am not, it is still a cool idea. Star Wars: Uncut takes Star Wars and breaks it into 15 second parts. People are allowed to claim their favorite scene, re-record it, and upload it. It gives the person recording the video free reign to interpret the part of the movie anyway they want. The only issue I can see happening is that the best parts have probably already been taken. And, who will actually shoot the non-exciting parts? Well, as soon as they create a site like this for Good Will Hunting or Pulp Fiction, I’ll be all over it. For now, I will just acknowledge the good idea and look forward to the final product.

Hustle & Flow

I watched Hustle & Flow for the second time this past weekend, and I was reminded of this great quote from the film…

There are two types of people: those that talk the talk and those that walk the walk. People who walk the walk sometimes talk the talk but most times they don’t talk at all, ’cause they walkin’. Now, people who talk the talk, when it comes time for them to walk the walk, you know what they do? They talk people like me into walkin’ for them.

Xtranormal

Here is an interesting idea…make animated movies just by typing in a script. Xtranormal makes it easy to publish a quick movie. For me, it would take away the fun of really creating and putting together a film, but I’m probably not the target audience. If you want to just put togethe a funny story or idea quickly then this is for you. The example above is something my brother created to memorialize one of our favorite stories from working at Domino’s Pizza.
