I joined Behance as a way to learn about other illustrators and artists and to hopefully connect with other like-minded individuals.  Andy Council is an illustrator who has some great work. I have really grown to like styles of work that have lots of small details combined together. When done correctly, it gives the viewer so much to look at.  When it is matched with strong colors and interesting line work, it makes for some powerful illustrations. Andy has certainly perfected this style with his various “landscapes” and dinosaur inspired illustrations. Check it out…

Sketch2Photo

Sketch2Photo: Internet Image Montage from Tao Chen on Vimeo.

I read about this program on Gizmodo and it is amazing. In Sketch2Photo, you create a very crude drawing on the software and label each drawing with a text label. I’m not sure how they wrote the code for this program, but it seems to be another positive step towards creating a better way to classify images on the Internet and making it useful for the user.

I first read about these on Gizmodo. Eat Me Daily has posted their top 10 food based Rube Goldberg machines. As always, enjoy….
