Another artist discovered in Japan. I noticed Yosim in an illustration book I purchased. The site contains many different types of artwork, but I particularly like the work that is more child-like. A strong graphic quality does not always make successful artwork in my eyes, but I think it definitely works for Yosim. The illustrations make use of very strong black lines to highlight the objects in the illustrations. I particularly like how the lines are bolder with the objects that are closer. It gives the work a strong sense of depth without overdoing it. The above illustration is one of my favorite because there is so much to look at and the playground imagery is particularly fun.
