I do not have a lot to announce here, but I did want to give another update. I am at a point right now with my artwork which is different for me. I usually have a lot of ideas for artwork, but I’m only working on at about 1 or 2 at a time. Now, I have 10 ideas, and I seem to be working on all of them at the same time. I have all of my sketches ready to go for each work, so now, I just have to make them come aline on the computer. As I write it, the task seems daunting, but I’ll need to just work on them one at a time. I have also decided to ditch the idea of creating similar artworks of the same style. I want to try a style out first before deciding to work on that style ad nauseaum. Although, as I get into this more, I am realizing that I DO have a style. It might not be something that is incredibly apparent, but it is there. At least, that is what I think.
Other than finishing up artwork, I need to work on the nuts and bolts. I am also going to create profiles on some illustration sites. At first, I was a little weary about putting my work on these sites. It seemed like an easy way for people to use my stuff. Plus, I want people to visit my site. In the end, I think it is worth the time to put my work on these sites so people do not have to follow a link. Many people will not do that. Finally, I need to make sure people can find my site. There are many tutorials on the web about getting your site recognized. I plan on starting with some information I found on Computer Arts Projects.
One thing I did finish up was reorganizing my Printfection t-shirt store and embedding it into my site. The CSS was a little bit of a problem and I wish I had a little more control over the HTML, but it turned out a little better than I expected. Check it out!
