You are a Beslubbering, Clay-Brained, Dewberry!

At my school, one of the teachers has an after-school Shakespeare class. On his board, I saw this list of Shakespeare insults…I was intrigued. At this link, you can check it out. (Here is another good link.) Basically, you take one thing from each list to create an insult. I was intrigued. First, I think there might be some kind of artwork here, but I’m not sure what it is. The other thing I like is the pure nonsense of it all. I told one of the students that maybe rappers should start using these words. I guess when insults can seem so commonplace nowadays, it is funny how these insults from yesteryear seem so tame when we look at them in 2009.
