I was in Los Angeles this past weekend and saw an EXCELLENT exhibition at the The Museum of Contemporary Art of Takashi Murakami. I loved his artwork on the new Kanye West album, but I was disappointed when I saw some of his work online…I guess I didn’t dig deep enough. When I saw an ad for this show while in Los Angeles, I was a little more intrigued to see his work. It did not disappoint. I love his pop sensibility, graphic aesthetic, and use of bold, exciting colors. Plus, the show was an exhaustive collection of his work. I left feeling that I knew exactly what he was trying to accomplish with his artwork. If you happen to be in Los Angeles, the show runs in to next year.
