Read a Book

I’m not going to link directly to this since it has explicit lyrics in it, but I wanted to make sure I posted about it. If you want to see this video, just go to YouTube and type in “read a book”, it will be the first video to pop up. Anyway, I’m not writing about this video because of the obvious social commentary it is making…I want to focus on the creative side. I love it how this video takes a serious topic and makes it hilarious without diluting the message. A lot of my artistic ideas I’ve had recently have a serious slant to them, but I don’t want the art to necessarily reflect that. I think Read A Book is a great example about how you can emphatically make your point without losing your creativity, originality, or humor. After seeing this, I was truly inspired.
